Happy Halloween, everybody! Today's the day you give candy to children and scare the ever-loving shit out of 'em. But let's not let the kids hog all the fun, eh? Us older people can get scared too; in fact, we sometimes enjoy it (especially teens like me).

So I've got this disturbing urban legend I found a while back that I've been meaning to share, and now might be the right time. It's up to you whether or not you think it's true.

Hah. I get it. Release Unleashed's soundtrack on Halloween. Cuz Werehogs. CLEVER BASTARDS YOU ARE, SEGA.

Anyways, Sonic '06 and Sonic Unleashed's soundtracks (which are both awesome, by the way) are now available on iTunes for $9.99 for one album or $0.99 for each song. Now we just have to wait for the soundtrack to Sonic Generations, which really should've been on iTunes a long time ago.

Companies must get some sort of high off of re-releasing games, cuz it's happening all the time now. Okami HD is now on the PlayStation Network store. Pick it up for $20, and prepare for a long wait: the game is a whopping 6.3 gigabytes.

On the retail side of things, Assassin's Creed III made its debut today on Xbox 360 and PS3. A Wii U version will be out on launch day and a PC version is coming in about a month.

You've probably seen all the rage on Twitter already, but Disney has acquired LucasFilms for $4.5 billion dollars (can I get a "holy shit?!") This means Disney is now in control over Star Wars and other LucasFilm properties, á la Marvel.

Sounds like a lot of hoopla to make over a little buyout, right? Hahaha-WRONG.
Disney has come out and said that Star Wars Episode VII is slated for release in 2015. Now, this is gaming blog, not a movie one, so the rage over that announcement needs to be stored away for a later time. The important part is how this affects us gamers.

Well, apparently Disney would like to focus more on social and mobile games than console games.

"We're likely to focus more on social and mobile than we are on console. We'll look opportunistically at console, most likely in licensing rather than publishing, but we think that given the nature of these characters and how well known they are, and the storytelling, that they lend themselves quite nicely, as they've already demonstrated to the other platforms."

-Robert Iger (Disney CEO)

In other words, no more Force Unleashed. Instead, brace yourselves for some sort of sick hybrid of Star Wars and FarmVille ported to iOS.

Bill Murray let it slide that he's doing voice work for a character in Modern Warfare 4, and that Infinity Ward is producing it this time. He apparently told a journalist on a flight.

"Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games…"

Watch who ya talk to, Bill.

Nintendo has detailed the promotion you gain access to when you purchase a Wii U Deluxe Set, called the Deluxe Digital Promotion.
When you purchase a Wii U game or downloadable content through the Wii U eShop, you will get 10% of your purchase back in points, which can then be exchanged for eShop Credit to buy more content. For every 500 points you earn, you can get $5 back in eShop Credit. You can earn the points as you buy the content; the promo launches the same day as the Wii U is released.

The promotion doesn't last forever, though. Apparently you will only earn points back from release date until November 2014, and the points can only be redeemed until March 2015.

Keep in mind this is only available for those who purchase the Wii U Deluxe Set; the promotion will not work on Wii U Basic Sets.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be available for the Wii U both as a retail game and as a digital download on the Wii U eShop. But if you are getting the Wii U Basic (which has 8GB of internal memory), downloading the digital version will be a problem; the file is 16 gigabytes. Nintendo has said you can use any HDD with the Wii U, so you'll be able to get extra space, but that also means spending more money. Hopefully other games won't be this large.
