Through the Steam announcements blog, Valve has announced that Family Sharing will be a feature coming soon to Steam. Essentially, you'll be able to authorize a friend or family member's computer to play games within your library. You will not be able to both play games from the shared library at the same time, however, so it's a useful but limited feature. If the lender wishes to play a game the other computer is running, the other player can opt to buy the game themselves or to quit the game and let the lender play. I'll assume there's a time limit for this, but the post wasn't clear. Each user of the shared library will have their own save data and set of achivements for each game. The feature will first be available in a limited beta starting next week; a full release will be "coming soon".

Another batch of info has come out about Pokémon X and Y through the Japanese magazine CoroCoro. The information in the magazine is always leaked before the magazine actually comes out, for some reason.

First off, Mewtwo is getting a second Mega Evolution. The one previously announced is called Mega Mewtwo Y, whose Mega Stone will be exclusive to Pokémon Y, while this new one, Mega Mewtwo X, is exclusive to Pokémon X. Mega Mewtwo X has an entirely different look from its Y counterpart and gets changed to the Psychic/Fighting-type combination. It gets an Attack boost and gains the Ability Steadfast.

Another Mega Evolution was revealed, as well - Mega Garachomp. Its Ability changes to Sand Force and it keeps its Dragon/Ground typing.

The first evolutions of Fennekin, Chespin, and Froakie are shown. They are all pure Fire, Grass, and Water; they have no secondary type. These Pokémon have yet to have been given English names. Chespin's evolution can learn Mud Shot, Fennekin's can learn Psycho Cut, and Froakie's can learn Bounce.

A Rock/Dragon Pokémon with the Ability Hard Jaw and an Rock/Ice-type Pokémon with Freeze Skin are both Gen VI's fossil Pokémon. A white dog Pokémon will have Fur Coat as its Ability, and will in some way be customizable, presumably with accessories like in the Sinnoh Pokémon Contests. A Psychic-type cat Pokémon was shown off; it has a female and male versions, each with their own movepools, similar to the Nidoran line. The female is primarily white and the male is mostly blue, and the female is offensive and the male is defensive.

In battle, Hard Jaw increases the effectiveness of bite-based moves, such as Crunch and Thunder Fang. Freeze Skin turns all Normal-type attacks the Pokémon with the Ability uses into Ice-type attacks. Fur Coat reduces the damage taken by physical attacks.

The typing chart was shown off, showing Fairy-type's full weakness/resistance setup. Defensively, Fairy type is resistant to Dark, Fighting, and Bug, and takes no damage from Dragon. However, Fairy-type is weak to Poison and Steel. Offensively, the Fairy-type is super-effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and isn't very effective against Poison, Steel, and, for some reason, Fire. Strangely, the Steel-type was tweaked to have lost its resistances to Ghost and Dark.

Trainers can go to a salon to change their hairstyle and clothing, and Team Flare is run by five scientists.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y release worldwide in retail and in the 3DS eShop on October 12th, 2013.

Assassin's Creed: Liberation, a PlayStation Vita-exclusive game and the first Assassin's Creed game to feature a female Assassin as the main character, is getting an HD remake in a similar fashion to Resident Evil: Revelations. Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD will launch in digital-only format on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC next year and will feature new missions, cutscenes, and story elements stacked onto the original game's features and its graphical overhaul. Oddly absent is a Wii U version; considering Assassin's Creed III and the upcoming Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag both have versions for Nintendo's home console, it was assumed this would be a new trend for the series. Either way, this is a great way for those without a Vita to try out Liberation for themselves.

Also announced was a mobile- & tablet-exclusive game called Assassin's Creed: Pirates. This app has nothing to do with AC4 or the other mobile app for AC4 that was previously announced and is its own seperate app. It will feature real-time naval battles with customizable ships. Players can go up against their friends in one-on-one battles with fully 3D visuals. ACP will launch in the Fall of this year.

Nintendo shoved out a pile of news today, so let's just jump right in. First off, the Wii U bundle for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD was officially announced, and will launch on September 20th (nearly two weeks before the official release of the standalone game, which launches on October 4th) for $300. The system included will be the black Deluxe model and will have gold Zelda decals on the GamePad, similar to the Ocarina of Time 3DS bundle. The copy of WWHD that is included, however, will be digital and not physical, unlike the regular Deluxe bundle with a physical copy of Nintendoland. Also included in the bundle is a digital download code for the Hyrule Historia.

Even bigger news is that the Wii U Deluxe model will be receiving a small price cut on September 20th; it will retail for $300 instead of the previous $350, explaining why the Basic models were removed from stores.

Nintendo also announced today on their website a remodel of the 3DS: the Nintendo 2DS. Essentially, it's a 3D-less 3DS for kids. It launches on October 12th for $130 and can play 3DS games in 2D, as well as every original DS game. Besides lacking a 3D function, the 2DS can do everything a 3DS can, such as access the eShop, use StreetPass, and play with other 3DS models. The 2DS will launch in black and blue and black and red, similar to the 3DS XL. Europe, on the other hand, will be getting white and red as well as black and blue. A carrying case for the 2DS will sell for $13, and is a recommended accessory as the 2DS does not fold.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD launches to everyone digitally on September 20th and physically on October 4th, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds releases on November 22nd.

More box art for upcoming games were shown off, as well. All of those are in the image gallery below.

The Wii U version of Sonic Lost World has been given a special preorder edition with some kickass DLC. Titled "The Deadly Six Bonus Edition" (or just "Deadly Six Edition" in Europe) will include a voucher for a DLC code that allows you to play special versions of the game's boss battles that feature characters and locations from the NiGHTS series. Finishing these levels will also unlock a normaly-Miiverse-exclusive Wisp. The official blog post mentions "while supplies last", so maybe the bonus editions will be ridiculously overstocked like Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and you can still get the DLC later down the road. Even then, the DLC may be released to be purchased by other players akin to how Sonic Generations handled the Casino Night DLC, but I wouldn't risk waiting it out. Sonic Lost World launches on Wii U (and 3DS) on October 22nd in America and October 18th in Europe.

Microsoft has indirectly announced that their Games for Windows LIVE service will be terminated on July 1st, 2014 through an information page regarding Age of Empires Online (seen here). This essentially means that Age of Empires Online and any game requiring the Games for Windows LIVE dervice will no longer work after the previously-mentioned date. See, this is why it's a great thing that Microsoft pulled the DRM out of the Xbox One, because this is what would've happened to the system when the fourth Xbox rolled around. The majority of games that currently require the GfWL service are, in fact, available on Steam; however, this means rebuying games and starting over on save files.

Apparently this bundle was previously rumored, but has now been confirmed by Capcom. A 5-in-1 game package, Capcom Essentials comes with Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 6, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2, and Mega Man 10. Kind of an odd combination, but its $60 price tag is a good deal for this many recent games. The games are packaged in a slip cover with two cases, each case holding two discs (meaning this is essentially a repackaging of four games into one bundle), while Mega Man 10 is included as a digital download code. Capcom Essentials comes out October 8th exclusively to the PlayStation 3, and even comes with a cool little travel bag.

The official Pokémon YouTube account has posted a new English trailer for Pokémon X and Y, and some really cool things are shown in it, particularly the things previously revealed in a CoroCoro leak. The information has also been posted to the English Pokémon website. This will cover the burst of information, and the trailer, scans, and other images are embedded below the article.

First of all, three more Pokémon were revealed in the leak. The preevolution of Gogoat is a Grass-type called Skiddo (Meekuru in Japanese) with the Ability Sap Sipper. It will be a rideable Pokémon, as is Gogoat. This Generation's answer to Pikachu is a chubby little thing called Dedenne, an Electric/Fairy-type with the Ability of Cheek Pouch. It can apparently learn the new Electric-type move Nuzzle. Bunnelby (Horubii in Japanese) is a Normal-type bunny Pokémon with either Pickup or Cheek Pouch as its Ability.

A new Gym Leader was shown named Korrina who apparently knows how Mega Evolution works. It's unknown what her typing specialty is.

Speaking of Mega Evolution, this is the big takeaway from all of this info. Mega Stones can be given to a specific Pokémon and, under certain conditions, they will Mega Evolve into a new form. In the CoroCoro leak, Mega Lucario, Mega Blaziken, Mega Ampharos, Mega Absol, and Mega Mawile were shown. The "Mewthree" that was leaked early on is actually Mega Mewtwo. Mega Pokémon will have alternate Abilities, Types, and increased Stats from its normal forms, but the form only lasts during the battle. The Pokémon will revert to normal after the battle is over. Mega Mawile gets the Huge Power Ability, Mega Mewtwo gains Insomnia, Mega Lucario obtains Adaptability and an Attack increase, Mega Blaziken gets Speed Boost, and Mega Absol gets Magic Bounce and an Attack and Speed increase. Mega Ampharos not only gets Mold Breaker, but the secondary type of Dragon. Mawile and its Mega Evolution are both Steel/Fairy type. The trailer shows off the transformation sequence as well as Mega Lucario, Mega Mewtwo, and Mega Blaziken in action.

Not every Pokémon will have a Mega Evolution; in fact, it seems like very few will have them, as the Mega Stones are named according to which Pokémon can use them (Lucarionite, Blazikenite, etc.). Even though Blaziken is getting a Mega Evolution, it seems not every fully-evolved starter is inclined to have one as well, because the Blazikenite item is not able to be obtained in normal gameplay. Instead, it'll be the hold item of a promotional Torchic. Said promotion will start at X & Y's launch and it's unknown how long it'll last. The Torchic will be pre-equipped with Speed Boost as its Ability.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y launch worldwide on October 12th, 2013 for Nintendo 3DS, both retail and digitally on the eShop.
