If you're still late to the party with getting a PS3 like I am, here's a pretty good chance to get one. Sony will launch a white "super-slim" PlayStation 3 pre-equipped with 500GB of data and a free year of PlayStation Plus. The bundle will cost $300, which seems pricy, but since PS+ is constantly offering full retail games for free, the bundle will eventually pay for itself. Pick it up on January 27th if you're up for it.

Even though XSEED's Pandora's Tower was well-received in Japan and Europe, they have just now announced that the game will be coming to North America. Being launched this close to the end of the Wii's lifespan could either hurt its sales or give the Wii a temporary boost, but only time will tell. The game will supposedly finish its oversea voyage by Spring 2013.

According to Iwata, the Wii U's network, Miiverse, will eventually hit the Nintendo 3DS, and when it does, it'll be a big deal. It will greatly expand upon the communication features of games like Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokémon X and Y, in which communicating with other players has been a series staple for both.

"Once the Miiverse hits the 3DS, it will be huge. Just imagine the possibilities of playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf while sharing your experiences on the Miiverse. Now that’s something!”

The image below is a screencap from the spiritual successor of the cancelled Nintendo Power magazine, called Nintendo Force. The article featured is on Pokémon X and Y (slated for a simultaneous October 2013 3DS release) and talks about the duo's starter Pokémon. What's newsworthy is that the paragraphs make it seem as though Chespin will be Grass/Dark-type, Fenniken will be Fire/Psychic-type, and Froakie will be Water/Fighting-type, either from the start or in a future evolution. This makes things interesting, as this adds another weakness/resistance cycle on top of the classic Fire-Grass-Water starter cycle.
